Hear Me

Hear Me was written to encourage youth in their walk with Christ. As youth, it can be hard to know who to follow and where to walk. Finding solid ground in a world of sinking sand can be difficult and discouraging. As they read through this prayer book they will be challenged and encouraged to walk out their faith. The practice of prayer, confession and memorization of the Holy Scriptures will help them face the temptations of this world as a fierce opponent against the enemy of man’s soul. This book is also a reminder that not only is our faith a corporate faith but very personal as well. The road God calls us to is narrow, but the path He asks us to walk on is a solid foundation. This book offers youth a way to seek the Lord from their perspective without making it “all about me”. Another unique feature is the topical section offering youth encouragement in their struggles and a way to turn to the Lord for answers to their challenges. The question and answer section offers a few answers to common questions about the Orthodox faith that youth often don’t know the answers to. Having the answers available gives a confidence when they are called upon to share about their faith. It is an introduction to using both the map and the compass (Church and Tradition) in their process of Salvation.

what a wonderful prayer book. it was highly recommended by my own mother halfway around the world from Ethiopia. I can't help but ask Mrs. Boyd, did you ever work at Mount Hermon in the early 90s? you have a very familiar face.
